Release workflow

The 60-second Shopify product-page checklist

Run this on the final public URL before a campaign, feed update or client handoff. It is a preflight—not a promise of approval, rankings or conversion.

Commerce truth

  • The selected variant price, currency and availability match the offer a shopper can buy.
  • Compare-at price is higher than the selling price where a sale is shown.
  • Add to cart is consistent with the visible and machine-readable stock state.
  • Product and Offer structured data do not expose a stale market or variant price.

Variant and image integrity

  • No unexpected missing or duplicate variant SKUs.
  • Option combinations are unique and every promoted variant is reachable.
  • Primary and variant images load at useful dimensions.
  • Meaningful product images have useful alt text and Product schema includes image signals.

Discovery and handoff

A useful QA result is not just a score. It is a small, verifiable repair queue that survives the handoff between merchandising, development, paid media and the client.

  • The page has a clear title, one useful H1, a canonical URL and a usable meta description.
  • Brand, description, identifiers and availability are consistent across public signals.
  • Every issue is recorded with evidence, confidence, severity, owner and a next step.
  • The public URL is rescanned after the repair—not only checked in Shopify Admin.
