MerchQA policy
Privacy
Effective July 31, 2026
Extension data
MerchQA reads the active public product page only after you start an audit. Audit inputs, findings, exports and recent history are processed and stored locally in your browser. MerchQA does not request access to Shopify admin, customer orders, passwords or payment card data.
Website data
If you join early access, we store the email, role, optional store URL, expected audit volume, acquisition source and consent you submit. If you contact us, we store the email, topic and message needed to answer.
We also collect limited first-party events such as page view, CTA selection and successful waitlist submission, together with campaign parameters and referring hostname. We do not add third-party advertising trackers or fingerprint visitors.
Purpose and retention
We use submitted data to operate the launch program, prioritize theme compatibility, communicate product updates, measure acquisition and prevent abuse. Waitlist and support records are retained only while needed for those purposes or legal obligations.
Control
You may request access, correction or deletion through the contact form. Marketing messages will include an opt-out method. We do not sell personal information.
Payments
Paddle processes checkout and tax information under its own privacy terms. MerchQA receives entitlement, subscription and transaction identifiers needed to deliver and verify a license, not full card details.
Changes
Material changes will be reflected on this page with a new effective date. Return to the MerchQA home page.
